One of big factor for colour difference happened is artwork revised by buyers and do not request a new sample. And if sample made material different with bulk production material. It also will lead to the colour difference issue.
How to avoid it?
New sample and color proof card must be requested after artwork was revised. The digital printing card colour could be more than 90% close to bulk order.
Another big factor is many designers don’t know how the printing work or know bits and pieces, not professional. The artwork designed out looks beautiful and vivid, but hard to printing. Like, make the C、M、Y、K = 100% deep, and knockout the anti white character.
How to avoid it?
Make the strictly colour into pantone colour. Or do not design small words or image there, make it as bigger as you can. Last factor is from the machine controller. Experienced printing machine controller can do the ink-water balance well so that printing quality are nice.
